    abdominoplasty

    Not just a flat stomach

    Complete sculpting of your torso

With modern abdominoplasty techniques, we remove excess fat and skin from the abdomen, restore the abdominal muscles and effectively treat sagging and the phenomenon of the "hanging belly", while at the same time sculpting the torso perimeter in order to offer a correct, complete result. Modern abdominoplasty is a procedure of high surgical technique, as our goal is not only to offer you a flat stomach, but a total transformation of your torso by highlighting the natural muscular line of the abdomen, but also the removal of scars, stretch marks and any deformities in the area. Finally, in cases where necessary, there is the possibility of liposuction, as we can use excess abdominal fat to enhance volume in parts of the body that lack it, such as the chest and buttocks, and to achieve the desired body contouring.

    100% natural effect

We apply the technique that is appropriate to provide the perfect result in your case.

    Modern Liposuction

With liposuction, we achieve the maximum aesthetic improvement in the abdominal area, as in most cases, abdominoplasty alone is not enough for a spectacular result. Very often, the sagging and excess fat in the abdomen also extends to the sides of the waist and the lumbar region, and sculpting of these areas is also required to achieve a correct, complete result.

Initially, we remove fat from these areas, using cutting-edge technology (pulsed or VASER liposuction) for excellent sculpting. We then proceed to the abdomen where we suction out excess fat around the navel and then remove excess skin between the navel and the pubis. At the same time, using special internal sutures, we address the distension of the abdominal muscles and tighten the abdominal wall, in order to offer a tight, flat abdomen, while if you wish, there is also the possibility of highlighting the line of the abdomen (creating a six-pack). If necessary, we can also remove local fat from the pubic area and restore its youthful firmness.

    Mini abdominoplasty

For patients who have localized sagging and localized fat only in the lower abdomen, we perform a mini abdominoplasty that allows us to remove excess skin and fat through a smaller incision, similar to a cesarean section. Unlike classic abdominoplasty, in mini abdominoplasty the navel is not affected or displaced (it only goes down 2-3 centimeters with the stretching of the skin). In mini abdominoplasty, we can also correct the dimension of the rectus abdominis muscles, which often coexists with sagging, but also perform liposuction in the lateral areas of the abdomen for more effective body contouring.

    Abdominoplasty & Fat Grafting

Abdominoplasty can be an opportunity for full-body liposuction, as we can use excess abdominal fat to enhance volume in other, more deficient areas of the body. After suction, abdominal fat undergoes special processing and is completely safe to use for breast augmentation or buttock augmentation. We also use it to restore lost facial volume and enhance the oval contour, as well as to restore skin firmness on the back of the hands.

    Abdominoplasty & Mommy Makeover Combination

For women who have seen their bodies change significantly after pregnancy, with fat deposits in various places and sagging tissues due to their 9-month stretch, we apply abdominoplasty combined with Mommy Makeover. This is essentially a combination of procedures with which we highlight the curves of the female body, remove excess fat and excess skin. We combine abdominoplasty with breast augmentation, reduction or lift, as well as liposuction in areas of local thickness, thus giving the female body well-shaped curves and firmness.

    Circular lipectomy

Circular lipectomy is essentially an extensive abdominoplasty, which allows us to remove excess skin and fat around the circumference of the torso. It is the method we apply to people who have lost a lot of weight (usually bariatric patients) and have significant skin sagging in both the abdominal and lumbar areas. In these cases, abdominoplasty alone is not enough to give us a harmonious result, as a 360-degree operation is required.

In circular lipectomy, we start with the patient in a prone position (face down), in order to initially correct the excess skin and fat on the back and sides of the waist, and to lift the buttocks. Then, we turn the patient to a supine position (on their back) and continue with the application of modern abdominoplasty. The result is spectacular.

    Fleur-de-lis

In very specific cases where there is too much loose skin left after significant weight loss, then the classic abdominoplasty is not enough to provide a tight, flat abdomen. In these cases, we choose the Fleur-de-lis (FDL) method. In this technique, in addition to the classic horizontal incision made in the lower abdomen, we also make a second vertical incision, which allows us access to repair the loose abdominal muscles and excess skin.

    Suitable candidates for abdominoplasty:

In general, suitable candidates for abdominoplasty are those who suffer from the "hanging belly" phenomenon and have severe sagging and excess fat in the abdomen. However, it is essential that they are healthy and do not suffer from conditions that make it difficult for the skin to heal, such as diabetes mellitus.

    Frequently Asked Questions

    Does abdominoplasty hurt?

At Antiagers plastic surgery clinics, we ensure that abdominoplasty will not prove to be a painful procedure for our patients during recovery. We use special tools that minimize tissue trauma and avoid important nerve zones, thus dramatically reducing postoperative pain. In addition, we use advanced anesthetic substances with prolonged duration that block the transmission of pain for at least 48 hours, which has proven to be crucial for the rapid physical and psychological return of patients after surgery. We do not intervene in either the lymphatic or venous network, so that most of the time there is no need to place drains and tubes at the end of the operation. Our patients are able to get up and walk from the first day!

Will I need to stay in bed after abdominoplasty?

No. Modern abdominoplasty does not confine patients to bed. From the very day of surgery, patients are mobilized. We want them to get up and walk, and they are able to do so as the pain level is completely tolerable and in most cases they do not have tubes or drains.

When can I return to work?

If it is office work, then you can return after the 4th-5th day. After a week, you can also perform tasks that require mild activity. You can return to more intense activities after 15 days.

Will I need to wear a corset? For how long?

Yes. In all abdominoplasty procedures, we provide a special elastic wide belt postoperatively, which holds all the forces exerted on the abdomen and prevents the appearance of swelling and bruising in the area. In addition, it offers a sense of security to patients and helps them mobilize faster. You will need to wear it for one month (the first two weeks for 24 hours a day, while the next two weeks for 12 hours a day).

    Is the abdominoplasty scar visible?

The scar of the classic abdominoplasty is quite large, but it is hidden under underwear and swimwear, so it is not visible. It never disappears, but over time it becomes fainter and takes on the color of the skin. In any case, if the way it heals bothers us aesthetically, there are many modern non-invasive solutions with which we can improve its appearance even more. As for the scar of the mini abdominoplasty, it is much smaller, reminiscent of that of a cesarean section.

What happens if I get pregnant after abdominoplasty?

Everything will go smoothly. Abdominoplasty does not affect the course of pregnancy. However, if you are planning a pregnancy, it is recommended to leave abdominoplasty until after giving birth and after you have lost the extra weight, so that you can benefit to the maximum extent from the result of the abdominoplasty and not disrupt it.
